….I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of. John 10:10 (MSG)
“Found my dream house, moved in last week”. ‘Found my dream job, moving to Colorado in 3 days.” Comments made to me in the last few days. They caught me by surprise, activated my fearful emotions. I began to feel not valued and unimportant. Am I living my dream? The distraction of the desire to accumulating material things or to live in a beautiful place consumed my focus. When dreams do not become a reality, my perception is clouded with negative emotion.
My had heart lost it’s direction, temporarily distracted by wandering emotions instead of focusing on the unwavering truth of God’s loving purpose for me. My purpose is to be loved by God and to enjoy His
eternal presence, protection and provision for my life. The words of an old hymn “You, Lord are both Lamb and shepherd, …You, the everlasting instant..” reminds me of the expansive, extravagant presences of God. I choose to call on my Lord, the creator of the universe to help me know the way to an abundant life. ( Psalms 124:8 , Psalms 30:2-3)
Lord, when I loose my direction, look away from your presences, doubt your grace and mercy, redirect me to the fulfilling of Your purpose through Jesus Christ my Lord. AMEN
