Then Jesus said, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and I do nothing on my own initiative, but I speak just what the Father taught me. 29 And the one who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, because I always do those things that please him.This passage speaks to the unity of the Son to the Father – Jesus gives up everything for anything that His Father wants. As followers of Christ, how often do we give up every possession, safety, comfort, approval of others, personal goals, career aspirations, family connections, dreams, everything…lay it down..close the door of our comfort zone and open the door for anything God has for us. To go in obedience to any place, to take any action, to be willing to take any risk, to seek God’s dreams for us.

Father, give me courage, strengthen my faith to release my fears and trust your generous provision with consuming love as I relinquish my hold on my comfort and securely open my heart to Your Anything, through the power of your son Jesus Christ ~ AMEN
