Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13 NLT
Hope is the word in the middle between faith and love. Hope is not a random word that sounds good along with Faith and Love. Hope is the pivotal noun linking the words Faith and Love. Hope, in the Greek language as written in this text, means a confident expectation. Hope is fueled through a trust, a faith in the grace of God through the power of His Spirit in us. Hope grows stronger through the eyes of gratitude of God’s faithful provision. Hope enlightens our souls, providing light in the darkness of this world. Hope inspires joy, settling bitter hearts. Hope is the spring board and foundation of Love. Hope empowers the action of Love. To have love you must first hope. FAITH gives hope, HOPE grows LOVE.
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 NLT
